Speed Watch Program

In partnership with the City of Welland, Safe Communities Welland launhed the Speed Watch program in 2006 in response to several concerns raised by residents about motorists speeding through school zones and other residential areas.

To date, the Speed Watch program's radar board has been used in all area neighbourhoods throughout Welland, with some areas seeing repeated usage.

Feedback from residents has been very positive, with many saying that the board has been useful in slowing motorists immediately.

The Speed Watch radar board can be set-up at the request of residents by contacting Ali Khan, City of Welland. Ali can be reached at 905-735-1700, Ext. 2202 or by e-mail  ali.khan@welland.ca.
